TinMapper ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application TinMapper (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you use our App, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Apple ID Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (if you choose to share it) and a unique identifier. We never receive your actual Apple ID email unless you explicitly share it.
  • Google Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Trip Data: Information about trips you create, including destinations, dates, preferences, and itineraries.
  • Usage Preferences: Your selected categories, swiped preferences, and AI chat conversations.

Location Information

We may request access to your device's location to provide location-based recommendations in Fun Mode. This is optional and you can deny or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage statistics and crash reports
  • Subscription status and purchase history (via Apple's StoreKit)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our App
  • Generate personalized trip itineraries using AI
  • Process and manage your subscription
  • Enable AI-powered chat recommendations
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Communicate with you about your account or App updates
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

Supabase

We use Supabase for secure data storage and user authentication. Your data is stored on servers located in the EU (eu-west-1 region).

Google Gemini AI

We use Google's Gemini AI to generate trip itineraries and power our chat assistant. Your trip preferences and chat messages are processed by Google's AI services.

Google Places API

We use Google Places to provide location details, photos, and ratings for recommended places.

Adapty

We use Adapty for subscription analytics and management. Adapty helps us understand subscription patterns but does not have access to your personal information.

Apple StoreKit

All subscription purchases are processed securely through Apple's StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment information.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the App:

  1. Go to Profile tab
  2. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm deletion

Upon deletion, all your trips, preferences, and personal data will be permanently removed. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through the App Store before deleting your account.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@tinmapper.com.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase)
  • API key obfuscation in the App
  • Regular security audits

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
